    Agonda Beach

    Goa has well over 25 amazing beaches ranging from the full-of-life party destinations to the serene and peaceful ones. As a general assumption, the beaches of North Goa are considered to be more happening and lively than those of South Goa which are quieter and more secluded.

    Palolem Beach

    Palolem beach stretches between two magnificent headlands and the beach is lined with towering coconut palms. Every season bamboo-hut resorts and restaurants are erected along the beach allowing tourists to stay right on the sand, only a few meters away from a swim in the Arabian Sea. The beach huts range from very basic to somewhat luxurious, with en suite huts becoming more common every year.     Mandrem Beach

    Mandrem is, for many, the best-kept secret on the north Goan coast, as laid back and languid a destination as you could possibly hope for.     The town hosts a well known beach at the southernmost tip of the Salcete beach stretch that starts from Majorda in the north to Cavelossim in the south. The Sal river flows into the Arabian Sea at the south of this town. This town was the original above of goddess Shri Shantadurga located at Kawlem, which is one of the largest temples in the state. The idol was taken from Cavelossim to Kawlem in Ponda taluka (Antruz Mhal) during the Portuguese inquisition of Goa.

    Benaulim Beach

    Benaulim is a census town in South Goa district in the state of Goa, India. It is a beach town a little south of Margao in Goa, India. It is a town of immense natural beauty, located along the scenic South Goa coastline. Legend has it that Lord Parashurama, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, shot an arrow from the Sahyadri mountains in adjacent Konkan; the arrow (Baan in Sanskrit) landed at the site of this present-day town.Thus it was known as Banahalli or Banavalli (the village of the arrow) before the advent of the Portuguese. the 16th century.

    The location of old Goa belongs to UNESCO World Heritage site. It is an old capital of Goa during the regime of Portuguese. One of the popular churches named Basilica is famous for holding the remaining of St. Francis Xavier, who is believed to be the protector of Goa.
