    Best places to visit in Kasauli

    Monkey Point

    Also called Manki Point, this is Kasauli's highest point with relevance to Ramayana, the Indian epic. It is believed that when Lord Hanuman was searching for medicinal herbs to treat injured Lakshmana, he placed his foot here. However today, one can have an ecstatic view of the entire valley along with snow-covered Himalayas and glistening water of the Sutlej. The name Monkey Point, because the steep cliff can only be negotiated by monkeys.

    Sunset Point

    Located at the upper mall road, Sunset Point offers best view of the glorious setting sun during the evening hours. The magnificent colours this sunset hour creates is a marvellous experience to cherish all life. Again, this Sunset Point offers an easy gateway to Gilbert trail for hiking.

    Christ Church

    This church that was build 50 years ago by the British has escaped modern hands of renovation. It is typically an Anglican structure of that period (1844) with grey stones amongst verdant green picturesque of deodar and pine. Its serenity embraces the souls of visitors with ultimate peace.

    Krishna Bhavan Mandir

    The architecture of Krishna Bhavan Mandir deserves praise for its combination of Indian and European styles. Interestingly, the construction of this temple, which is a major pilgrim spot of the valley, is like a church.

    Now this is another spot in the town that is known for being the Varanasi of the Hills. It is famous for its 81 old stone temples that are further festooned with outstanding carvings. The old palaces here are notable for their colonial architectural style.
